Smart – Built for the Economy

When the UK government introduced new legislation and laid down the law to car manufacturers, there was one particular brand that was already well under way to providing the necessary requirements. Mercedes-Benz Smart had already introduced their very own used Smart cars that met and exceeded the minimum requirements for new car productions. In fact, if you were to take a quick glance at the original used Smart car then it would become apparent just how eco-friendly the car was. Tiny in stature and frame, the original Smart car from Mercedes-Benz was so small that you could quite literally park two of them side by side in a regular parking space. Upon its release, the general public took to this used Smart like a duck to water and its popularity grew to excessive extremes. Nowadays, the foundation of this vehicle is still very much present in the more recent models, although things have naturally evolved to make the Smart car more advanced and with better features / upgrades. The only difference between now and when the first model was released is that other car manufacturers are also now in on the act of building eco-friendly / hybrid autos; but many view Smart as being the leaders in this particular field – simply because they were the first to release a working product to the motoring industry. So as of today (2010), the brand of Smart cars has grown somewhat to high proportions and, as more and more people look closer at their fuel and road tax bills, the name of Mercedes-Benz Smart cars becomes a more familiar choice.

SEAT – A Brand with a Difference

The Spanish automaker SEAT is a car maker that offers something very different to other manufacturers in that their style is totally unique, and some might say, fresh. Take the new SEAT Ibiza for example; it is cool and funky, whilst at the same time, it is a vehicle that continues to portray the SEAT way, based upon the older used SEAT Ibiza. And then there are the new SEAT Leon and Alhambra models, which are extremely unique in their own right. The thing about this particular car manufacturer is that they seem to be bright and new, which is very much an attraction to the younger audience of drivers. The cool and funky look that SEAT cars offer is the main reason for this and also because the younger aged drivers want something that is within their finance range, and at the same time, they want a car that will provide them with a good performance and striking looks. In fact, much of the accreditation of the latest brand of SEAT cars, which marks huge design improvements compared to the used SEAT autos of the past, is down to the TV / Internet marketing campaign that took place. This catapulted the new models (Ibiza, Leon and Alhambra) and managed to re-establish SEAT’s place in the industry. The power of advertising has certainly helped SEAT increase its UK and global appeal and with more models planned for the future, the future certainly does look bright for SEAT. In summary, if you want a new car with a stylish exterior and interior, choosing a car from SEAT will definitely make life easier.

Porsche – One of the Best Around

A truly magnificent company, Porsche defines the art of German engineering. Oozing with quality, new and used Porsche cars are among the very best that the industry has to offer. A quality of engineering unmatched by other manufacturers, Porsche has been providing cars of superb standards for a number of decades. From the 911 to the more recent Cayenne, Porsche have become universally recognised as one of the top dogs in the industry. Germany is a country that has always been viewed as one of the manufacturing leaders in both Europe and the rest of the world thanks to the likes of Volkswagen, Audi, and indeed Porsche. Whilst the other aforementioned companies may provide cars for more regular to high end buyers – there is no doubting what market sector Porsche caters for; the top end of the market. As we know, new and even used Porsche cars can cost more than a pretty penny, which means that there are only a certain number of people that can actually afford to purchase. What this does is segment the majority of the market because most buyers simply cannot stretch their finances so far! So in reality there is only the minority that can actually afford to buy a new or used Porsche; but this is still a fairly large number when you take into consideration that Porsche is known and sold worldwide!

Used Mini Cars – The 1960’s Icon

As the title suggests, the used Mini from the 1960’s was a true icon. Sex, drugs and rock and roll were very much the groove back in the 60’s and if there was ever a vehicle that epitomised this era it was the used Mini. The car became so famous that is made appearances in the hit movie The Italian Job and, more recently, it was ever present in the heroic Aston Powers movies. What many people question though is WHY this was the case? For example, the Mini was not a car that was exceptionally designed, it wasn’t fast and it was most certainly not spacious – so how did it manage to become such an icon? Well this is a question for those who were active during the time of its release, but it is fair to say that fashion was very much different in the 60’s to what it is today. In fact, the Mini was so relevant that it became a worldwide phenomenon and people from different corners of Europe and beyond wanted a piece of the action. So the reality is that it doesn’t really matter about the WHY, the used Mini was what it was and is what it always will be – a fashion statement from the 1960’s. It had an average rate of performance and, by today’s standards, a lacklustre design; but the general public (and the British public in particular), just so happened to love it! Of course the Mini of today is very different to its predecessor but that is because the German giant BMW purchased the rights to re-build and re-design the old used MINI. With history very much behind the thinking of the new business venture, the gamble paid off for BMW because the new MINI is every bit as a fashion icon as its older version.

Buying of Porsche

And when one buys a used Porsche, in my mind rewinds to a very important question of the sense of comfort while driving. The driver frowns at the thought of that the car will not provide it to him during the operation which will result in that each horse will be an unpleasant experience, so trying on the car especially pay attention to how they feel on the spot of the driver.
Those of who are in their many experiments used Porsche, the boast that despite the mention brand specializes in high-speed dynamic comfort of the driver’s car is treated as a priority. Speaking about his impressions emphasize that this is a driver’s point of view like dynamic driving, and this means that comfort for them differs from that of users who prefer a car slowly coming on the road. However, moving away from the diversity of drivers who used Porsche say that the whole nature of the car is aimed at strengthening a sense of comfort to the driver. From the shape of chairs that can be easily “stick” during the rapid acceleration of technological innovations to assist the chassis. All this makes that drivers who used a Porsche driving stress that the brand becomes a pure nothing distorted joy. Looking at those who used Porsche is just a bit jealous that enjoyed exceptional comfort during

Populartity of Ferrari

Whether if we used Ferrari long, they will not spoil them? Or maybe sooner, we can expect a failure on the routes quite a bit shorter or small? Since always, at least since the cars have become so widespread and so popular, you know that when it comes to fuel, it burns less on longer routes. However, the larger the trail, the greater the risk that those who will used Ferrari, will be forced to struggle failures. What are the failures? Mostly minor, such as tire burst, no oil or brake fluid. But it may also be something big, especially on hot days, those who used Ferrari can expect the engine overheating. This is the serious risk of long journeys, which in principle can not be avoided. At short distances, paradoxically, there is a greater risk of collision. Especially in crowded cities. Those who used Ferrari in such places know that by the fact that the distance to the target is small, reduced alertness and caution, which could lead to more or less the collision. In the inner cities are unlikely to develop high-speed, so it is rather minor bumps, but the risk always remains.

Buying a Used Car – New Taxation

Up until now people have got used to the fact that the newer the car, the better it is in terms of environment protection standards, and the less the driver will pay in car taxes. With the new taxation rules it does not hold validity any more. One could also say that new used car taxation rules were somehow imposed more by the ubiquitous economic crisis than by real needs of environment protection. While concentrating on a used car purchase the driver shall bear in mind that they would have to pay up to £1,000 a year for buying a second-hand vessel belonging to the so-called “worst polluter” category. Not being on the tight budget and being able to afford a better model, the buyer could move towards any car which seems to be environmentally friendly. The general rule in the new taxation of used cars states – an environmentally friendly vehicle is the one which does not distribute huge quantities of carbon dioxide with the emission limit set around 250g. Used Saab 9-5

A new heavily restyled model from the Swedish maker was launched on the market in 1997 as a replacement of the previous 9000 version. Many visual changes have transformed it in the eye catching spots car that jumps out from the grey crowd on the street. The vehicle tends to keep its value although it has been manufactured for more than ten years so it takes a good buyer to find a used Saab in a great shape for a reasonable price. The car is combining all of the best ideas from previous models with the range of engines made by Saab, GM and Alfa Romeo. Read the rest of this entry »

New Vans Coming Soon

It’s September 2008 so what new van makes and models would we like to arrive at our local dealerships in the coming months? Personally I would like to see a new version of the Transit Connect preferably in terms of interior and dashboard settings. I think with a few more advancements in these areas it would give the vehicle a much more ‘car like’ feel. We know that used vans are noted for feeling dull on the inside as we are usually using them to work with. Read the rest of this entry »
