Smart – Built for the Economy

When the UK government introduced new legislation and laid down the law to car manufacturers, there was one particular brand that was already well under way to providing the necessary requirements. Mercedes-Benz Smart had already introduced their very own used Smart cars that met and exceeded the minimum requirements for new car productions. In fact, if you were to take a quick glance at the original used Smart car then it would become apparent just how eco-friendly the car was. Tiny in stature and frame, the original Smart car from Mercedes-Benz was so small that you could quite literally park two of them side by side in a regular parking space. Upon its release, the general public took to this used Smart like a duck to water and its popularity grew to excessive extremes. Nowadays, the foundation of this vehicle is still very much present in the more recent models, although things have naturally evolved to make the Smart car more advanced and with better features / upgrades. The only difference between now and when the first model was released is that other car manufacturers are also now in on the act of building eco-friendly / hybrid autos; but many view Smart as being the leaders in this particular field – simply because they were the first to release a working product to the motoring industry. So as of today (2010), the brand of Smart cars has grown somewhat to high proportions and, as more and more people look closer at their fuel and road tax bills, the name of Mercedes-Benz Smart cars becomes a more familiar choice.

Smart is such a nice, unique mark. I hope more of such stylish cars will be produced.
