Volkswagen Golf GTI – The Sporty Adidas Model

No you did not just read that title incorrectly; Volkswagen has added an Adidas Golf GTI to their range of cars! Now this is not unheard of by any means but it is something that isn’t very common among car manufacturers; combining a sports brand with an automobile. Nonetheless Volkswagen has teamed up with sports giant Adidas and has used their number one model to do so. The Golf GTI, as we know is the flagship car of the company and has been for a very long time. Ever since the first used golf was introduced it has grown to unbelievable heights of popularity and has become a real fans’ favourite all over the world. This special Adidas edition of the Golf GTI is expected to be introduced to the mainstream public at the next Australian International Motor Show in October 2010. And it contains certain new features that will make it a very distinctive unit and will therefore effectively be a special / limited edition. Some of these features include Bi-Xenon headlights, tinted tail lights and eighteen inch alloy wheels, which really are something special! It is the seating covers inside the vehicle that display the sporty Adidas look and feel with the middle section of both driver and passenger seat showing the Adidas logo with the three stripes. The gearstick is styled in the shape of a golf ball, which is reminiscent of the original used Volkswagen Golf GTI. This new edition offers a kind of retro feel and very much has the characteristics of a retro vehicle with style.

Over the last few years if there is one auto manufacturer that has really created its own lane of authenticity then it surely has to be SEAT. For so long this was a company that was solely associated and recognised for their used SEAT Ibiza model that served the company so well. Of course car models only ever have a certain shop window of opportunity and so SEAT invested in their production line and invested very well indeed. One of the models that came out of this was the new SEAT Leon, which was aggressively marketing along with the new Ibiza and Altea models. Some of them display some serious advancement in technology and really do make the car stand out from those in the same vehicle class. Coupled with these advancements is the cars’ athletic style of the outer shell that gives off the feel of sophistication. The Altea is a class act and no detail goes unnoticed. The exterior and interior is slick and, as noted above, the features included really are something special. Some say that the SEAT Altea is a step into the future and it would be very difficult to disagree with this statement. And with the standard version costing less than 12k, the Altea also makes for a sound investment.

Porsche 928 – The Start of a New Trend

Rolling back through the years there are certain cars that just seem to standout from the pack and the used Porsche 928 very much comes into this category. The 928 is a GT unit that was first introduced to the marketplace in the year 1978. Its production continued for seventeen years until 1995 but its legacy has without doubt lived on to the present day. The funny thing (or strange thing depending upon how you look at it) is that this was a vehicle that was initially expected to replace Porsche’s 911 models. However, this did not materialise and so the 928 was given its own identity with its own individual targets and goals. The reality is that Porsche thought that the 928 would be able to work alongside the 911 and attract a different type of audience, which it inevitably went on to do. The 928 was able to achieve some natural promotion thanks to one of its variants, the more powerful 928S, which became famous for being the fastest vehicle (a top speed of 146 miles per hour) in North America during the year 1983. This alone opened doors and avenues for the car that rapidly increased its popularity and so this led to increased sales. One of the cars’ main attributes aside from its speed, however, is its design, which was a little different to what Porsche was normally associated with. It used steel materials for its outer shell along with aluminium that was used for the doors and bonnet, which became useful for making the overall weight of the vehicle lighter. To this day the used Porsche 928 is still very much talked about and continues to be a popular and well thought of unit.

Peugeot RCZ – Something Rather Different

Now this is a Peugeot car that is something out of the ordinary for a company that has been known for playing it on the safe side. The RCZ is definitely one to watch out for and should be recognised as being a part of the future; not just in terms of design, but also in terms of performance. This is like no other used Peugeot of the past and is very much a step in a new direction for this authentic French auto manufacturer. The design of the vehicle is very much a new concept that gives off the look and feel of a true sports car. The Peugeot RCZ is a unique and charismatic unit that is almost certainly a real head turner. With its rounded body shape that fits in harmoniously with all of the distinct outer shell features; Peugeot really have pushed the boundaries of manufacturing to a whole new level. The dark and slick standard black colour of the car is extremely fitting as are the alloy wheels, which come as 18 inch (standard) or 19 inch (optional). Both of these elements give the feel of a sporty nature that appears purely natural, and not artificial. The rear of the vehicle combines a sloping bonnet with ruby-red lights that are extremely distinctive and fresh. LED technology is incorporated into this area and it once again provides that sporty look and feel that is evident throughout the entire unit.
